Mid-June to early July in central PA is the perfect time to check out Pennsylvania’s state flower, the Mountain Laurel. The Sproul District State Forestry Office and the Clinton County Visitors Bureau teamed up to establish two different driving tours to view the Laurel:

Clinton County also has two scenic Byways - Route 120, also known as the Bucktail Trail Scenic Byway, and Route 144 South, the High Plateau Scenic Byway. Along Route 120, enjoy the mountians on one side and the West Branch Susquehanna River on the other. Route 144 South is wild and remote, and offers several opportunities to stop and enjoy scenic vistas.
