About Us

The Clinton County Economic Partnership is a non-profit corporation chartered in Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Partnership is to promote the economic welfare of the Clinton County "Community."

The Partnership was created to bring together all organizations by providing economic development services. The original agencies that formed the Partnership were the Industrial Development Corporation of Clinton County, the Clinton County Tourist Promotion Agency, and the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce. The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, the organization that created the Partnership, has been in existence since 1939.

Chamber

The Chamber Committee continues the Chamber tradition by providing meaningful and informative programs to its membership, studying and identifying needed improvements to roads and bridges, and also by monitoring legislation on a local, County, State and National level thus allowing Clinton County businesses to maintain a competitive edge. The Chamber Committee is dedicated to serving the business community.

Tourism

One of Clinton County’s strongest assets is tourism. The Clinton County Tourist Promotion Agency is an organization to promote Business and Leisure Travel in our county. The Clinton County Tourism Promotion Agency is funded from the Hotel Room Tax; Tourism not only helps visitor experiences, but also enhances our community. A tourism committee was formed with the following goals:

  • We promote Clinton County’s lodging, dining, attractions, and outdoor recreation to promote overnight stays.
  • The Clinton County Economic Partnership is a member of many regional tourism groups: PA Wilds, Lumber Heritage Region, Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, Pennsylvania The Great American Getaway, and Visit the USA.

Development

The Clinton County Economic Partnership is interested in creating and retaining employment opportunities in Clinton County. It is the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development certified corporation to access Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority low interest funding. The Partnership is also the focal point for other state funding, including Machinery and Equipment low interest funding, Infrastructure Development Program grants and loans, and Opportunity grants.

The Partnership also utilizes other state and federal funding, as well as the Clinton County Enterprise Zone Revolving Loan Fund, Clinton County Revolving Loan Fund and the City of Lock Haven's funding avenues.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Business Retention and Expansion Program allows for the Partnership to be in periodic contact with local businesses and industries to ascertain and address any issues.
