West Branch Susquehanna River Sojourn
Break out the paddles, get your campfire tales organized, and join us for an exciting trip through some of the most remote and lovely sections of the Upper West Branch of the Susquehanna River during our 6-day educational canoe/kayak trip!  Paddle the entire trip or a few days…it’s up to you!  97 River Miles!  We are starting further upstream in the town of Mahaffey, PA and taking names as we paddle the largest drop of the West Branch-Chest Falls!  Don’t worry beginners, our river guides will navigate you through these Class II rapids.  We expect the trip to fill quickly!  We can only accommodate about 70 participants, so register early
Full registration is $345 for adults and $175 for children under 12 and includes:  professional guide service from Canoe Susquehanna, campsites, all meals, safety and insurance, shuttles, guest speakers, sojourn t-shirt and scheduled programs & entertainment.  You must provide your own kayak or canoe and equipment.

Experience the trails of the Zindel Park area.  See some of the beauty our county has to offer.  Enjoy a shorter 6 mile hike/run or challenge yourself with the more demanding  12-mile hike/run.  From the first time hiker to a seasoned veteran, The Eagle Trek is meant for everyone.  Experience some new trails off Pine Mountain Access area, some Megastransect trails, train for the Rothrock Challenge, and enjoy the scenic view of the county’s Keller Reservoir area.
The same trails used last year’s hike will be used again.  This year all monies will go directly to Hershey Hope Lodge and Kent Fest.  If you are unable to hike and would like to volunteer, please email dmayes@embarqmail.com .

Race begins at 10 am.  A 10K run through the mountains of Sproul State Forest.  3 miles of uphill to the top of McCloskey Mountain and then a blistering 3.7 miles down to the finish.  Registration - 8:30 am / closes – 9:45 am - $25 registration.  Hikers will be able to explore new and exciting parts of the Sproul that are only seen when hiking with a DCNR guide.  Guided hikes for participants of all ages and fitness/ experience levels will be offered!  In addition to the terrific schedule of day hikes already offered at Prowl the Sproul, twenty experienced and fit hikers will have the opportunity to complete the entire Chuck Keiper Trail, a 49.3-mile long-distance hiking trail, during the three-day weekend.  The Western Clinton Sportsmen’s Association will be our host for the weekend with camping and meal packages available. Enjoy a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in close proximity to the areas many trails.  Enjoy the friendly and laid-back atmosphere and use of their Clubhouse and all WCSA facilities including comfortable campsites, hot showers (indoors and outdoors), and an evening campfire.
