Bald Eagle State Park
Don’t let your young child miss out on nature! Bring them out to this interactive program de-signed for children aged 3-5 years old. Each month a new topic will be explored via a variety of basic crafts, stories, short walks and nature games which could take place inside or outside. Dress for the weather! This year-long series that will be held on the first Thursday of each month (Except May) through December 2012. Pre-registration is required for each month by calling the Park Office. 5K Time Journey Charity Race
Starting in front of the Heisey Museum-362 E Water St, Lock Haven.
Children’s races start at 9am, adult run/walk 10am
$25 per adult, $15 for students with valid ID, $10 for Military with valid ID, free for children 6-12 years of age.
This Charity Run for the Heisey Museum features men’s and women’s divisions. Free T-shirts are available to the first 50 paid registrations. There will be free family style after-party on the grounds of the Heisey Museum…hot dogs & hamburgers. Goodie bags for all adult participants. Door Prizes.
After the Children’s races there will be activities and supervision for the children provided free of charge by Lock Haven University students.
The course is a fairly flat road that follows the Susquehanna River. It will be good fun for all while helping the museum. All runners will receive a free tour of the museum.
