The Leadership Clinton County curriculum emphasizes development of individual and team skills. The program activities are varied, and include hands-on activities, tours, panel discussions and presentations by people with relevant expertise. To appreciate the opportunities and the challenges that face Clinton County, participants study its history and visit area institutions, organizations, businesses, and sites of interest. Local experts discuss economic, cultural, environmental, educational, legal, health and community development issues.
Participants will identify a local issue that is important to them and their communities, and work in teams to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program to this issue. The teams will learn about the issue from diverse perspectives, analyze various options for resolving it, develop an action plan, and present their work in the final session.
