WAPITI & WINE TOUR! This is a great day of adventure with Rock River & Trail Outfitters in search of wapiti (elk)! The group leaves Lock Haven and travels by van to the new Elk Country Visitors Center in Benezette, spending time there seeing an excellent movie and all there is to learn about elk and other wildlife and recreation in the region. We travel around the Benezette area in search of elk (this is a great time of year to see bull elk in rut --when they bugle -- and cow elk and calves), then make a pit stop for lunch (dutch treat) before heading to nearby Elk Mountain Winery where we'll do a bit of wine tasting and shopping before heading home. The cost of this outing is $25 per person and includes your guide, all transportation and admission into the movie at the Elk Visitors Center. Project Feeder Watch
Let the birds come to you! Spend some time examining the birds that frequent the feeders at the Nature Inn. This program isn’t just watching birds at a feeder, but rather a nationally conducted program that engages people in citizen science.
